
Dr. Nitin Kapoor has a life long passion for dentistry. After graduating with a Bachelor of Dental Surgery and a year of hospital residency, he pursued his D.D.S degree from the University of Toronto and graduated with honours. Following his graduation Dr. Kapoor spent some time as a pre-clinical instructor in the Endodontic department and a faculty member in the University of Toronto’s Prosthodontic department. Continuing education within his chosen profession has been a hallmark of Dr. Kapoor’s commitment to his patients. Dr. Kapoor believes it is imperative to strive to stay current with techniques and technology.
Patients often comment on his genuine, professional and caring attitude. “I believe in offering dental services with integrity, honesty, and fairness, I like to empower my patients with knowledge so that they can make well informed decisions.” Dr. Kapoor says, “I value getting to know my patients, I genuinely care about them and I am committed to putting their individual needs as my top priority.”
Using his extensive experience in family, cosmetic and implant dentistry, Dr. Kapoor opened Smile Town Dental Group, located in Grimsby, Ontario. Dr. Kapoor explains, “from the professional staff to the state of the art equipment, we are committed to providing the finest dental care to patients.” Dr. Kapoor with his dynamic staff fosters a family-friendly environment at Smile Town Dental Group and always believes that helping his patients maintain healthy teeth and gums is the gateway to a beautiful smile.
Aside from dentistry, Dr. Kapoor travels the globe, watches sports, cooks, and spends time with his wife and three children.
Dr. Gurbanni Dhillon Virk (patients know her as Dr. Banni) graduated top of her class and was awarded the highest rank by the Indian Society of Periodontology. In 2012, she completed her 3-year specialization in Conservative Dentistry & Endodontics and won numerous awards at various National conferences and Endodontics conventions.
Her journey then took her to Brussels in Belgium, where she completed her NARIC equivalence at University of Ghent and University of Leuven. During this time, Dr. Virk had the opportunity to live and work in several countries in Europe. She moved to Canada in 2016. After successfully completing the NDEB equivalency process and licensing with RCDSO, she started working as a general dentist in August 2018.
When not working, she loves spending time with family, including her son Harry and daughter Robin. They are Irish twins! Dr. Virk is also passionate about dogs and hopes to set up an animal rescue shelter in the future. Her dog Zeeba is a rescue from India. She also enjoys spending time in the garden or doing DIY projects with her husband.
Dr. Jacob Swiderski, Periodontist, completed his undergraduate education at the University of Toronto where he received his Honors Bachelor of Science. He continued with his education at the University of Toronto, Faculty of Dentistry, where he graduated in 2016 with a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree. Upon graduating, he was awarded with membership to the Omicron Kappa Upsilon Dental Honor Society, as well as graduate awards such as the Dr. Michael Oliver Memorial Scholarship and the University of Toronto Oral Anatomy Award.
After graduating from dental school, Dr. Swiderski pursued three years of residency training at the University of Toronto in the specialty area of periodontology and implantology. There, he also successfully defended his Master of Science thesis, whereupon he received his degree (M.Sc.). He also successfully completed his specialty examination of the Royal College of Dentists of Canada.
Dr. Swiderski enjoys all facets of periodontology and is always interested and engaged in the novelty of new technologies and biomaterials in the treatment of gum recession and bone loss. Ally is a Certified Level II Dental Assistant. She graduated from Niagara College and has a true passion for dentistry. Ally enjoys taking care of people and focuses on each person’s individual oral health needs, while maintaining a professional and comfortable environment. When Ally is not at work, she loves practicing yoga, being in nature and spending time with family, friends and her dog Basil.
